No Client Wall Here. The Research Instead.

A portfolio shows you finished copy — the one thing that can't tell you whether the person who wrote it knew what they were doing. So this page shows the layer underneath: the research I've run, the method that produces it, and a free teardown that lets you test the whole thing on your own page before any money moves.

Read this first: I have no published client results, and I'm not going to arrange something else on this page until it resembles them. No metrics, no testimonials, no logo wall. Everything below is real, mine, and checkable — and the last section hands you the method on your own page for free, which is the only demonstration that costs you nothing to verify.

Original Research 2026 Market Study

I Researched the People Who Hire Copywriters — Before Asking Anyone to Hire Me

The obvious first move was to write a page about how good I am. Instead I went and studied the buyer: what makes them start looking, what makes them hesitate, and what makes them say yes. Six pains, ranked by how often each one actually surfaced. One hiring guide on its own carried seventeen separate worries a client holds before handing over money.

The finding that reorganized everything: asked what earns their trust, buyers didn't say results. Didn't say price. Didn't say years of experience.

They said they want to see how the writer got to the copy. The process. The thinking. Not the finished thing.

The one thing buyers say they want most is the one thing almost nobody shows them.

Their second-biggest complaint sits directly underneath it: they can't verify quality until it's already failed. By then the money's gone and the page still doesn't sell.

That pair of findings is why this site is built the way it is — why the research document reaches you before a headline does, why the teardown comes before any payment, and why my rewrite carries a refund clause instead of an adjective.

Honest footnote, since the whole page is about showing the work: that study has a hole in it. I couldn't get first-hand access to the community threads I wanted, so some of the buyer language in it is quoted second-hand through published articles rather than pulled raw. It's flagged that way in my own file. I'd rather tell you than have you find it.

The Method Same Sequence, Every Time

What Happens Before a Single Line Gets Written

This is the part a portfolio can't show you, and it's the part that decides whether the copy works.

1 · I go and read your customers. Reviews. Competitor reviews. Support tickets. The comments under your ads. Sales call notes if they exist. Whatever's already been written by the people you're trying to sell to.

2 · I sort it into four piles — pains, desires, objections, triggers — then rank each one by how many times it actually appears.

The pain mentioned forty times beats the one mentioned twice. Frequency decides, not taste.

3 · I map it to awareness. A buyer who's never heard of the problem needs a different first sentence than one comparing you against two competitors in another tab. Same product, different opening line, and getting that wrong is the most expensive mistake on most pages.

4 · You get the research document — before you get a headline. Then ask me why any line says what it says. The answer points at a sentence one of your customers wrote. If it can't, the line doesn't ship.

The Only Proof That Can't Be Dressed Up

Everything above is still me talking about myself, which you have no particular reason to credit. So here's the part that isn't.

Send me one live page. In three days you get a written teardown of it: what it says now, what your buyers are actually thinking while they read it, and the exact line where those two stop matching.

You keep it either way. Hire me, ignore it, or hand it to whoever writes your copy now.

Genuinely free. Not free-then-$400. Not "the full version costs."

Not a sample of the thinking. The thinking — on your page, before you've paid anything.

It's the one piece of proof in this business that can't be tidied up on the way to you, because you're the one holding it when it lands. And it's the reason I'd rather hand you a teardown than a wall of logos.

One page. Three days. No obligation.

Before You Send a Page

This Isn't for Everyone.

If you're pre-revenue — no validated offer, no real traffic — please don't send a page. There's nothing flowing through it for a rewrite to beat, which makes my guarantee unkeepable and makes me an expensive guess. I'd rather say that here than take the money. The full process and pricing live on the Solutions page.
